OOTD and what's in my bag

Okay so this is my first OOTD, Wes took the photos and he did pretty good! Hopefully I can get better at setting my camera up/ get a better camera.

Dress: Primark
Belt: Forever 21
Jacket: River Island
Shoes: H&M

I love the print/style of this dress, but it has no stretch whatsoever and the zip is half broken. I need to remember to always check the Primark zips because this isn't the first time I've got a dress home to find out it has a faulty zip.

There is something so satisfying about knowing what's in someone's bag. I love what's in my bag posts and I'm guilty of always carrying far too much stuff around with me.

My recent staple bag is from Accessorize and I've been using this bag pretty much since I got it in January. Accessorize do such lovely bags and they always last really well.

Purse
My purse is from Primark and was super cheap, £3 I think, and it really needs replaced, but its cute and has lots of good little compartments.

Powder Compact
I always carry a powder compact around rather than my whole make up bag, powder and i'm good to go. Currently i'm using the B set sheer finish pressed powder in the lightest shade. I love this powder it's a perfect match for my skin and its really lightweight.

Lip balm
If I leave the house without a lip balm I seriously panic. Lip balm is a staple and I usually carry 2 or 3 and yes this is excessive, but totally necessary. I also have a Barry M lipstick in there.

Snacks
Trying to eat healthy means I always usually carry some nuts/dried fruit so I don't have to buy something. This helps a lot as I'm a serial snacker.

Umbrella and hat
Glasgow weather is way unpredictable so these are needed on a daily basis.

Eye drops
I wear contact lenses when I'm not wearing glasses and they can get dry sometimes so these eye drops are good for when my eyes get tired.

I could probably carry less stuff around, but I like to be prepared and if there's room in my bag I will find stuff to fill it!

Grumpy cat and baby Sophie

The weather for September in Glasgow has been seriously lovely, it doesn't feel like September at all so I've been making the most of it before it gets freezing.
Yesterday I went to Drumpellier park with my sister and my beautiful niece Sophie. She loved playing in the sand and was generally painfully cute the whole time.

Just a second after I took this photo she ate a handful of sand, whooops she wasn't too happy.

Today Cuddles was her usual grumpy cat self, but look at this face she's too adorable.

Today Wes and I hung out with Sam and Amy we went to the Quay and played pool (not fun), and other fun arcade games the pac man air hockey was the most fun game EVER.

September Obsessions

Okay so it's only September 1st, but I'm already super excited about things in the coming months and I love having things to look forward to. I'm excited about pretty winter clothes and my 21st, I'm going to London and to the Harry Potter studio tour! I'm seriously counting down the days already (I go October 4th!). Later this month I start my 4th year at uni which is also exciting/scary, I'm mainly looking forward to my first SAAS payment.

So I've been looking around for birthday presents to myself and some winter clothes.

This jacket is my number one obsession, SERIOUSLY it gives me heart eyes. Its SO perfect. I love the colour and the fur is just everything I dream of in a winter coat. Its from River Island and costs £190 which is more than I would usually consider spending on a winter jacket, but for this I may need to make an exception.

Next on my list is some new glasses. Recently i've been wearing my glasses more than my contacts and only having one pair gets boring fast. I decided to visit Niche in Glasgow because I like my glasses to be cat eye and a little different, I find most high street opticians don't really cater for this. I was so glad I went to Niche they were super nice and the selection of glasses they have is amazing! I fell in love with a beautiful pair of Francis Klein cats eye glasses.

I couldn't find a photo of the exact glasses online, but these are close. They have the prettiest detail and are all handmade one of a kind. These glasses are pretty expensive, around £380, but since I wear glasses everyday I am willing to spend more on a pair that I absolutely love.

Other than that this month I'm obsessing over being organised, I bought a diary and I want to do as much as I can with the time I have left before I'm swamped with coursework. I meant to start writing on this blog so long ago because I love reading other peoples blogs/vlogs, it just makes me seriously happy, and now I've finally done a few posts I'm pretty hooked so blogging will be my last September obsession :)

Monthly Favourites

In august I've been pretty busy with work and this week I've not been feeling well at all :(. I feel the month has passed super quickly, but I picked up a few pretty things and fell in love with a few of them!

My first favourite is something I had been lusting over for ages, The Lime Crime Velvetines! I'd heard such good things about these and was certain that I NEEDED to have both! So I ordered both from cute cosmetics, they arrived really quickly and the packaging is totally adorable. I tried them soon as I got the box, but this didn't turn out good at all, you pretty much need a lip liner to use these as they are really hard to apply without. I am in love with the red velvet, its a lovely deep red and stays in place all day.

After quitting my lipbalm addiction (I was a serious addict, like every hour on the hour addicted), I realised that my lip balm of choice, Carmex, wasn't good for my lips at all. Carmex has an ingredient that makes your lips tingle and this is actually drying your lips out, meaning you need to use it more. Carmex was like crack for me and giving it up was SO difficult, my lips peeled, bled and were generally super painful all day. So after doing lots of research I found Dr. Bronnners Organic Lip Balm, this stuff is amazing! It feels totally different from lip balm and makes my lips feel soft for hours as opposed to 15 minutes or so. I try to use this only once or twice a day when my lips are dry/sore.

B. Pure Micellar Water is my skincare favourite for august. Usually superdrug is my go to for beauty products, but not skincare, however this was on offer and I liked other products in the B. range. This is described as

"Quick and easy 3-in-1 cleanser that dissolves impurities in a single sweep, no water required. Ideal for all skin types even the most sensitive."

And I would say that's pretty accurate, this product is super effective when removing make up and it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight like similar cleansers would. I love this product for how quick and easy it makes removing make up, its also amazing for keeping in my bag for after gym. Its also a really reasonable price at £4.99 for 150ml.

Peach Party by Soap and Glory is my favourite blush this month. Its super pretty and I love this because it can be built up and it has the most pretty shimmer. This is my go to blush for my everyday make up right now.

The real techniques expert face brush is my favourite foundation brush ever ever ever. When I used this I was like where have you been all my life ? Its seriously that good, I don't think I will ever use another foundation brush ever! Now I'm convinced I need every real techniques brush, they are top of my wish list.

Thanks for reading :)

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
I keep meaning to use this blog I have ideas and things I want to write about, but then I forget and I'm working and just doing other stuff, basically lots of excuses so 4 weeks or so before I'm back at uni and I WILL post some things :).

So I guess this first post can be an introduction!

1. I have 2 beautiful exotic kittys that I love love love! Cuddles has long hair and is white, ginger and black. Snarf has short hair and is grey, white and ginger, they are sisters! They are my babies and I'll talk about them to anyone who will listen, I post tonnes of photos of them and generally think a lot of cat related thoughts. Cats are a serious stress reliever and have made my life full of fluffy cuteness (and A LOT of furry clothes).

I love that photo of baby Snarf being a little parrot on my shoulder :)

2. I'm about to go into my 4th year at uni studying International Fashion Branding and I cannot believe how quickly time has gone! I remember my first day and it seems like only a year ago!

3. I'll post on here about my cats, general life things and fashion/make up and all other things I'm interested in!

So I finally managed my first post after months of procrastination, whooooops, hopefully I can do a few more this week :)
